A Grand Bay woman says mold is taking over her home, while her landlord is not taking care of the problem. Lola Davis says she has been sleeping in her living room for the past two months, after she discovered mold growing in her bedroom, bathroom and on the roof of her trailer.
Davis says her landlord has patched up a couple of spots while she says he does not believe there is a problem.
But Davis says there is and showed News Five a letter from her doctor who also says the mold is affecting her health.
"I got a lot of medical problems and I can't deal with it and I've tried to get the landlord to fix it and he tells me it's in my head, that I ain't smelling nothing. But it's affecting my lungs worse and I need to get out, but there's no where else to go," Said Davis.
News Five tried to get a hold of Davis' landlord who lives next door to the property, but no one was home to speak with us about the situation.
Davis says she has called everyone from social services to the Department of Human Resources for help, but says she hasn't had any luck.

Do what I did. Call the Alabama Volunteer Lawyers. That helped me when I had this same problem. Unfortunately, the laws for Alabama (as usual, were so Bass ackwards) lean heavily towards protecting the Landlord and not the tennant.
