An off duty police officer on his way home at the end of his shift
saw a man lying along Bear Fork Road near Shelton Beach and
stopped to check on him. He discovered that the man,
later identified as fifty year old James Edward Parker Junior
of Eight Mile, had been shot to death.
The discovery was made shortly after 7:00 a.m. Sunday.
Homicide investigators were called to the scene, and are
asking anyone with information to call Mobile Police at
208-7211.
