Prichard police are searching for a man they say shot and killed a relative while sitting in a car in the Alabama Village area.
According to police, 30-year-old Jerry Brown was holding a gun Sunday night when it went off and hit a relative in the side. Another relative took the victim to Mobile Infirmary where he underwent surgery. The victim died Monday morning.
Brown took off immediately after the shooting. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Right now, Brown is charged with one count of manslaughter. But because he's a convicted felon, Federal charges are also pending.
