Well its good to be back on this thread. Crimes are committed by all people. True. But most are committed by “the unspeakable”, and you all know this is true. Im not a racist, I just interpret the facts. No, I dont need to “grow up”. Some of you need to “wake up”. White men in this country have less rights than anyone. I got fired from my job 3 yrs ago b/c of Affirmative Action. My brother missed a promotion b/c a less qualified black man applied for the same position. Insurance rates are lower for blacks. Hate is more tolerated from them. They can segregate themselves and make all black colleges, have BET, the Ebony Awards, NAACP, and call each other the same term our ancestors did, and its all ok. A white girl wanted to start a club at my former College to promote the pride in our Race. And she was denied b/c it was considered Racist. Wow. Racist for having pride in our heritage. And its approved by people just like some of you jumping on me. Racism apologists.

and by the way carl.. i agree with you..people need to take affirmative action in their own neighborhoods.. report misbehavior or drugdealing..you have to be responsible at some point for what goes on around you...police can’t be there 24/7..low rent housing with 4 escalades and a beemer parked outside..duh..don’t take a rocket scientist to know something’s up. or $15,000.00 worth of rims on a $500.00 car that belongs to someone that doesn’t have a job.

So are the two separate shootings related or just coincidental?

Oh and by the way the man shot last thursday night is white, but has been known to have a drug problem.

This man has been in jail in MS for shooting another man and just last year for carjacking a teenage boy.  He is also a known drug dealer.

Well it’s not that easy to get a judge removed or replaced, once they get their foot in the door of the legal system, they’re pretty well entrenched. It takes a lot to get them out and all their roots so to speak. But if you make them responsible (by law) for their rulings then you are cutting the roots(make it easier to get them out). Right now you can’t sue a judge for his mistakes(we hope) which may have cost people their lives or what. Same thing with the people letting people out of mental hospitals that go on to kill again. We pay these people big money to be professionals and if they are not, they need to suffer the punishment for their actions. John Doe walking the street has to be responsible for his actions and deeds, why not these people we pay well and give outstanding retirements to ?

i think there’s a deeper question to be answered here too. it appears,since that is a ‘mug shot’ of mr. pate, that he is no stranger to the legal system. wonder what his previous criminal history is? and if he’s a serious offender why is he out amongst us. and if he’s caught and released again, after a violent gun crime, then we need to be looking to replace a judge or two...the simplest answer for protecting society. is ‘build more jails’ and let criminals serve their whole term instead of early outting them because of overcrowding.

Makes one wonder why the people in the neighborhood doesn’t do something to make the area less appealing to the people responsible for most of these kind of crimes.

Has WKRG found out any more information on this story or the one that was reported on Hillmoor/Shalimar (basically across the street)? It looks like the person on the stretcher in the other story is white. Was the victim of this shooting white or black and were either of these incidents drug related? Not that it matters what color the victim or the alleged shooter was, I am just wondering if they are at all connected. Like I said, known bad area (drugs,etc) and 2 shootings in 15 minutes in the same area is just a bit coincidental to me?!?!
