hit by a car in 2005 and then mistakenly declared dead has sued
over the mistake.
Larry Green was put into a body bag and sent to the morgue, and
the medical examiner didn't notice he was alive until more than two
hours later.
His family claims Green, who was severely injured, might not
recover from the negligence.
In the lawsuit, Green's family claims medical officials
inadequately checked his vital signs, and that the medical examiner
disregarded signs that Green was alive.
The examiner says it was not his job to determine whether Green
was dead or alive -- that he's called in only after a death is
declared.
Green is now living in a nursing home.
