The 911 call came in 11:00 a.m. The Marine Police, Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, North Baldwin County Sheriff's Search and Rescue, and Daphne Search and Rescue all responded to the scene.
Sometime before 1:00 p.m., co-workers recovered the man's body. His name is not being released until family members are notified.
The crew was conducting seismic tests near Brickyard Lake. During those tests, controlled explosions or vibrations create sound waves in the earth's surface. Geophysical instruments are used to record seismic data. The process is similar to what happens during an earthquake.
