Man Asked For Cigarette, Took Car Instead

The Escambia County Florida Sheriff's Office is looking for a carjacker.
Sheriff's office spokesperson says a women reported the crime early this morning. Investigators say the woman stopped at the Cirle K store at Michan Avenue and Memphis Avenue. The woman told deputies that a white man with a hoodie sweatshirt asked her for a cigarette. She reached inside to get one, and then the man jumped into her backseat. He demanded the keys. The woman told deputies she was afraid and ran. Deputies say the man drove away with her car.
