Michael Woolf is charged with two counts of capital murder.
He is accused of shooting and killing his wife, Angel, and their two year old son, Ayden in the couple's Semmes home last month.
Wednesday morning Woolf waived his right to a preliminary hearing. The case will now go before a grand jury. Michael Woolf's defense attorney has asked that a mental evaluation be conducted. The judge ordered that Woolf remain behind bars without bond.
