Foley investigators say the head of a Baldwin County cheerleading association used money from the organization to dine out, pay her personal cell phone bills and electric bills. Brandy Flowers, head of the Foley Youth Cheerleading Association, was arrested Monday and charged with seven counts of credit card fraud and theft."She confessed to stealing over four-thousand dollars," says Foley Police Sgt. Tony Fuqua. "But we now believe she stole much more than that."
Parents of the little cheerleaders say Flowers stole their hopes and dreams.
"All these girls love to cheer," says parent Yolanda Barnett. "It's just sad that this happened and sad for the organization, the community and the for the girls."
Parents say the girls didn't receive all their uniforms and equipment and say they also didn't have insurance.
"We paid for medical coverage," says Barnett. "Or at least we thought we had coverage. We didn't get our rain-gear and we probably won't have enough money for our Christmas banquet."
Flowers was transported to the Baldwin County Corrections Center in Bay Minette Tuesday morning.

I just hope that with all of the negative surrounding our organization, people still realize that our girls deserve the best and we WILL NOT allow that to be taken from them. They are beautiful, smart, spirited, good girls and it is our goal to establish a new organization and start off fresh, for them. We are excited about the up coming year and want EVERYONE to know that we ARE NOT going to let this one persons greed set the tone for the girls future. We as coaches love these girls and WILL continue to make their happiness 1st priority.
