The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who abducted a 7 year old girl about 7:45 this morning in Ocean City.
The little girl told police she was on her way to the school bus stop in the area of Yancey Street when a man stopped and offered her a ride to school. She thought the man was a relative. It was not until she got into the car that she realized he was a stranger.
Investigators believe the suspect drove around for 30 minutes and then dropped her off near the County Corner Store on Lewis Turner Boulevard. The girl appears to be unharmed.
Late this afternoon, the Sheriff's Office released these surveillance pictures of the suspect.
He has brown hair and a close-shaven moustache. He was wearing a short-sleeved blue polo shirt, khaki shorts and short brown boots. The man was driving a silver or gold colored car with a tan interior.
If you have seen this man, his car or have any information that help might solve this case, please call the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office at 850.609.2000 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850.863.TIPS.
