The sound of a taser. Police love it, bad guys hate it.
Taser are a non-lethal way of controlling a suspect according to Police Sgt. Jay Dempsey, but they have always been controversial. "The front page of the paper 'Died After Tasing' or 'Died from Tasing' when in actuality you read the coroners report and tazing didn't have anything to do with his death."
Now a new type of taser is hitting the streets but this time it has a camera that will let you see what the officer sees.
The Orange Beach Police Department has actually had tasers since 2005 but this new device will answer any question of how it was used. "It records in black and white. It gives audio and video, there's no way to erase the video so there is no tampering of the officer to have any allegations the officer tampered with the video," says Sgt. Dempsey.
It's an addition that is welcomed for a device that maybe as controversial as it is popular.
Taser cams will hit the streets in Orange Beach after officers have completed training with the new equipment. An additional 20 tasers are expected to be added next year.

Good will always overcome evil. However, good might have a taser, or a trained dog. If tired, good might just use a 9mm.
Support your local police and NRA. It is not about seatbelts and tags, meth and crack are out of control. Give the police the power to fight crime without being hand cuffed.
