If the Judge backs up the Robertsdale PD’s ticket with proper justice, the sentence should be: Permanent Revocation of his Alabama Driver’s License, a Substantial fine, six months of Community Service, and Court Order mandating that Mr. Stabler hire a full-time chauffeur for the next Six Years.
There are many times he gave us all his memorable all on the fields of Foley, Tuscaloosa, Oakland and the Superdome; he earned those big bucks which we cheerfully rewarded him. Even if the Judge he must see does not impose such a sentence, he would be wise to hire a chauffeur anyway. Then we can all cheer him once more—this time for good sense.
