The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Thirty-six year old Scott Earl Menefee. Menefee was mistakenly released from the Santa Rosa County Jail because of a clerical error by jail clerk.
Menefee’s brother, who is also incarcerated at the Santa Rosa County Jail, was scheduled to be released and Scott Menefee was released in his place. A judge has since issued an order to return Menefee back into the custody of the Santa Rosa County Jail.
Menefee is a Pace, FL resident who was serving a misdemeanor jail sentence for violating his probation concerning a non-violent crime.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Menefee is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office, or Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP.

Scott Menefee is described as a white male, about 6'01" tall, weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes and a tattoo on the right side of his neck.

Hey ! The Santa Rosa County Sheriff got half of the name correct. I hear in their next training session they are going to cover first names too,and work their way up to mug shots and S.S. numbers.
