Police say Tyese Lewis killed her one month baby girl, Zarial Lewis Farris, last month.
A memorial service will be held Saturday morning for the infant.
Lewis said Tyese is having difficulty in jail.
She said, "She's not doing too good. She's very depressed, very sad, very depressed."
Lewis said since the arrest, she's gotten a lot of negative reactions from people.
She said, "It’s happening to my family today and tomorrow it could be your family. But I want to be the one that, if it happens to your family, be able to say 'Keep your head up and pray, and you're in my prayers.' "
The memorial service will be held at the Revelation Missionary Baptist Church on Taylor Lane in Mobile.
An honorary burial plot has been set aside for the baby at the Prichard Memorial Cemetery.

Well first i’ll like to send my prayers out to the lewis family. and my heart really goes out to the baby and the baby mother, and i pray that Tyese will do the right thing and let her mother know what really happen and why it happen and ask god for forgiveness and prepare herself for what ever actions that must be taken. Again my prayer goes out to the entire family God Bless you all, and Tyese remember that it is so much easier to set the record straight and do the right thing first instead of trying to explain the wrong thing that happen.
