Around 3:30, a clerk at the First National Bank at Highway 98 and Rosewood Drive sounded the hold up alarm. Deputies say the man seen in the surveillance photos (on the right) walked into the bank, pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the clerks.
Deputies conducted an extensive search of the area but did not find the bank bandit. He's described as a white male in his early 20's, 6'00" tall, weighing 160 lbs., with short brown hair and sideburns. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap with dark lettering, a black polo shirt, dark jeans and tennis shoes.
The Sheriff's Office believe's he's driving a late model, low rider, extended cab pickup truck, possibly a Chevy S-10, with white tail lights and chrome rims.
If you recognize the man in the photos or see him or his truck, call the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office at 850.893.1190 or Crime Stoppers at 850.437.STOP. You could earn up to a $1,000 reward.
