"The clerk is quite rattled," says hotel manager Jason Nicholson. "All the clerks at the front desk are upset. It's the holiday season and we should be celebrating and enjoying life but instead, we're investigating a robbery."
Investigators say a man entered the hotel through a back door, ran down the hall and jumped the front desk. Police say the suspect then pulled a knife and stole cash.
"It traumatized the clerk," says Orange Beach Asst. Police Chief Greg Duck. "We hope to find the suspect and get justice for her. Anytime someone comes at you with a knife, you don't know what they're capable of doing. It's pretty scary."
"She wasn't hurt," says Nicholson. "She's going to take some time off and spend it with her family. And we're like a family for her, too. We're going to do what we can to help her during this difficult time."
If you have any information about the armed robbery, call the Orange Beach Police Department.
