A Gulf Coast landmark is welcoming back tourists. After $55,000 worth of renovations, the Pensacola lighthouse reopened Thursday.
It closed in 2007 because of economic shortfalls.
Florida Governor Charlie Crist was there to re-dedicate the famous landmark.
The lighthouse was first used in 1824. It has 177 steps leading to the top, and it's light can be seen 27 miles from shore.
