EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AP) - An Air Force officer and an
airman are recovering from injuries today after the helicopter they
were aboard crashed during a training mission at Eglin Air Force
Base.
The injuries suffered by Colonel William Nelson and Airman 1st
Class Bradley Jordan were described as non-life-threatening. Five
others on the MH-53 Pave Low helicopter were reported unhurt, in
the crash near Duke Field at about 11:45 last night.
Nelson and Jordan were transferred to Pensacola hospitals. The
military says no one on the ground was hurt.
A board of officers will investigate.

I am glad that the men were unharmed. That must have been a very scary feeling for these men. It is amazing that they made it out alive. It is not everyday that we hear about an aircraft crash where there are survivors. Hats off to you guys!! God Bless and thank God you are all alright. grin
