Police believe he is the Guatemalan man reported missing six days ago.
A tug boat captain first alerted police of a possible body in the intracoastal waterway. Within minutes the search was on. It started from the intracoastal bridge in Gulf Shores but it would be two hours before they found what they were looking for.
Near Plash Island bridge on Bon Secour River, the search ended. Richard Allen was there, "Come over here stopped on the bridge here and like you saw the body go under."
Dennis Sanspree heard the helicopter over head and headed to the waters edge. "I just walked back there and got on the boat and that's when I seen the body floating by face down. I thought man, I didn't know what to say."
Police officers from Orange Beach and Gulf Shores pulled the body from the water. "He has been in the water quite sometime." Coroner Jim Small says there is no indication of foul play. "We don't see anything that looks like any kind of wound or anything like that."
The body has been turned over to the state Department of Forensic Sciences for autopsy.
Sanchez had been reported missing January 18th. He was last seen near the intracoastal bridge in Gulf Shores.
