The Alabama Health Department has issued an alert about a recall of canned green beans. Lakeside Foods say its French-Style green beans may be contaminated with botulinum toxin. The cans of green beans were sold under many brand names and in many states. So far, no illnesses have been reported. No botulism has been found.The affected brand names include: Albertson's, Happy Harvest, Best Choice, Food Club, Bogopa, Valu Time, Hill Country Fare, HEB,
Laura Lynn, Kroger, No Name, North Pride, Shop N Save, Shoppers Valu, Schnucks, Cub Foods, Dierbergs, Flavorite, IGA, Best Choice and Thrifty Maid.
The beans were sold in: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Canada.
