DECATUR, Ga. - Authorities in Georgia say a robbery suspect has
been shot by police during a foot chase at a suburban Atlanta mall.
A police spokeswoman says no shots were fired inside the mall,
and no one other than the suspect was injured. The suspect, who was
arrested at a home a few miles from the mall, was shot several
times, and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police say officers chased the suspect through the parking lot,
the suspect displayed a gun and an officer fired at him.
The spokeswoman says she does not know if the suspect fired any
shots.
