They're back, just in time for Thanksgiving.Gas prices once again are hitting the $3.00 a gallon mark with the big holiday next week.
We asked people whether that was persuading them to change their travel plans this year.
Lin Thomas said no, that he was "headed to the beach, a little bit of a driving vacation, but not much. You just kind of go with it."
Julie Wagner said, "Actually, I'm not. I'm going to go up the country to see my grandmother and the family."
And R.G. Baldwin said, "No, because we're going to visit our daughter in St. Louis and we're going to do that anyway."
We also talked to some people who are thinking even farther ahead.
Will high gasoline prices change their plans for the Christmas season?
Lakai Smith said, "Oh, yes, a lot. I think I'm just going to go out of town for Christmas. I'm going to skip Thanksgiving."
But Baldwin said, "No, we're going to drive to Florida to see our parents there. We have very few choices on these things, so we just go ahead and do it."
The Air Transport Association predicts Thanksgiving travel by plane will be up four percent from last year.

I refuse to continue paying these high prices for gasoline. I am going to get a nice scooter with all the bells and whistles. I can get 70 miles to the gallon. There is a nice luggage rack on the back and it is a double seater. The car is always there to drive but I’ll only resort to it when it rains. I figure my gas consumption will change to one right of regular cost, if that. Look at them on line under scooters. you’ll like what you see.
