It’s mulch and it’s FREE! This Saturday, January 12, 8:00 a.m. until it is gone.

Mobile Forest Products is grinding thousands of recycled Christmas Trees to produce mulch that can be used in area gardens.

Christmas Tree mulch may be used in flowerbeds, around trees and in gardens to help retard weed growth,
retain moisture and return valuable nutrients to the soil.

The free mulch will de distributed on a first come, first served basis until it is gone. The City of Mobile Public Works trash crews will be on hand to help load pick up trucks and trailers.

There will also be a self loading area for those who wish to load their own - but you must bring your own shovel or pitch fork.

If you have a truck or trailer, your load must be covered so BRING A TARP to cover your load of mulch.
