Deputies trying to serve felony warrants at a house in Wilmer have to put the brakes on a chase before they can make any arrests.

Mobile County Sheriff Deputies went to a home on Capricorn Drive just after 8:00 Wednesday night. They were trying to arrest four people on a total of 15 felony charges. But just as deputies pulled up to the house, the four people they were looking for jumped in a car and took off.

Deputies put out spike strips and the chase came to an end near Grant Street. They arrested Darren Fauver, Ann Smiley and Troy Guttormson as they exited the vehicle. But the fourth person, Fronis Fauver, ran into a nearby wooded area.

The Sheriff's Office called in it's K-9 Unit and the Alabama State Troopers helicopter. Fauver was arrested about 10 minutes later.

Burglary, Assault, Theft of Property, Probation Revocation, Resisting Arrest

Darren Fauver

Burglary, Theft of Property, 3 Counts of Assault, Criminal Mischief, Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest

Ann Smiley

Interfering with Governmental Operations

Troy Guttormson

Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest

Let me clarify-not every one from west Wilmer-and there is a HUGE difference between Wilmer and West Wilmer-are inbred hillbillies with chickens roosting at their kitchen table. There are some very good, hard-working people there. But these people are the kind the bring down an area, and I am sure there are many more. I am actually surprised the charges weren’t worse-ie...that they didn’t find a meth lab, or dog or rooster fighting ring. NOTHING would surprise me in some of these areas.

I doubt any of you are from that area, but I am laughing, because you probably hit it on the head. BIG problem with “family affairs” in that area and a few others in the county. LOTS of family love to share. And, though I don’t live right there (thank goodness), I am close enough to know the long standing jokes about who is your daddy, or is it your brother? lol

Low brow,vacant stare as if trying to think.Talking about a crying need for birth control!! That sounds like a good idea,let’s run them for some of our elected positions in govenment. I bet they could make a offer to some of our opponents that they couldn’t refuse.

Just because they look like they all did a high dive into the same gene pool doesn’t mean we should judge them based upon their drugged out, half crazed appearance in their glamor shots!
