News 5 has confirmed six people, including the wife and four children of former University of Alabama football star Siran Stacy, have been killed in a traffic accident. The Alabama Department of Public Safety's Dothan State Trooper Post confirms the accident happened just after 11 o'clock Monday night on U.S. Highway 84 in Houston County. The accident claimed the lives of 36-year-old Ellen Stacy, 18-year-old Lequisa Stacy, 10-year-old Bronson Stacy, and a three-year-old daughter. 39-year-old Siran Stacy and another three-year-old daughter are listed as injured. State Troopers aren't clear about the names of the three year old girls. The accident report indicates the Stacy family was traveling in a 2007 Honda. The accident also killed 29-year-old Adam Wayman, the driver of the other vehicle. Alabama State Troopers say Wayman was driving on the wrong side of the road. Stacy is in stable condition in the intensive care unit at a Dothan hospital.
Stacy, an explosive high school running back from Geneva, was a standout for the Alabama Crimson Tide during the 1989-1991 seasons. In 1989, he was awarded the Johnny Musso Most Improved Back Award. In 1992, he briefly played for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles.
