GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Two people wearing hoods climbed onto a University of Florida stage during a speech made by former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and were quickly led off by police.

Other students yelled and turned their backs during yesterday's speech as Gonzales defended his career as White House counsel and head of the Justice Department.

Gonzales' appearance was the first at the university by a high-profile individual since a UF student was Tasered in September at a speech by Senator John Kerry. After an investigation, the University of Florida police were found to have acted appropriately and the charges were dropped against the student.
