Florida voters let their voices be heard, " I voted for Edwards," as they choose the candidate they want for president, "John McCain".
Heavy early voting has translated into a steady stream of voters throughout Escambia County. "We've had a nice stream of voters no reports of long lines but just a steady flow of voters through out the day. No major issues to report." David Stafford is Supervisor of Elections, "Most neutral observers would tell you this is the most wide open presidential election we've seen since 1952." But this election is not just about presidential politics. "Remember we have the proposed constitutional amendment on property taxes which is a big issue not only in northwest Florida but across the state," says Stafford.
But the main draw is the presidential candidates, or is it? "Nobody I wanted is running," says one frustrated voter, "So I voted for the lessor of two evils."
