Rodney Atkins big break came in 2006 when his catchy single, "If You're Going Through Hell," climbed to all the way to No. 1 on Billboard's country airplay chart. Since then, Atkins has had three additional No. 1 singles, including “Watching You,” “Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy),” and “These Are My People.” Atkins was nominated for six Academy of Country Music Awards this year.
Blake Shelton already has three gold records. His fourth album Pure BS, was released in 2007, producing two Top 20 singles. Earlier this year, Shelton recorded a version of Michael Bublé's "Home." It was included on a re-issue of Pure BS, which was released in May.
Eric Church's debut record, Sinners Like Me, was released in 2006. The album produced three Top 20 country hits -- "How 'Bout You," "Two Pink Lines," and "Guys Like Me." The 14th Annual BayFest Music Festival is October 3, 4, & 5 in Downtown Mobile. Tickets will be available at bayfest.com beginning August 1st. Three-day passes are $35. One-day passes are $25 per day, but are sold only at the gate. Children 12 and under are free.
