ATLANTA (AP) - A federal court has denied sprinter Justin
Gatlin's appeal to run in the U.S. Olympic track trials this
weekend.
The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Thursday that Gatlin
has not shown he meets the "applicable standard for such an
injunction."
Gatlin, who graduated from Woodham High School
in Pensacola, has been banned from track through 2010 for doping
violations and sought to run in trials starting Saturday. He said
he had been discriminated against under the Americans with
Disabilities Act because his first doping violation was for taking
prescribed medication to treat attention deficit disorder.

FIRST violation? There was more than one? I also take a stimulant for attention deficit disorder, and it WILL make you fail a drug test, but if you tell them you take it and have a copy of the prescription, they stamp it as a pass.
