TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a former spokesman forFlorida's child welfare agency will face federal charges of
producing child pornography.
According to an affidavit released by the U.S. Attorney's
Office, Al Zimmerman paid two 16-year-old boys to pose nude and
brokered the images to overseas pornographers.
The complaint now will be presented to a grand jury for
indictment.
State prosecutors had charged him on February 1st with eight
counts of using a child in a sexual performance.
If convicted of federal charges, Zimmerman will face at least 15
years in prison.
Zimmerman, a former TV news reporter, was the spokesman for the
state's Department of Children and Families in Tallahassee.

How does this guy slip though the system and get into the job that he had? How many Children did he take advantage of that no one knows about? Florida needs to get it together. After the Federal prosecutor was arrest by Dateline now this? Do they do a background check on anybody? I am glad that I do not live in FL.
