"We've been looking at this house for four months," says Glenn Austin, spokesman for the Escambia County Sheriff's Office. "Our narcotics agents and agents with the D.E.A. worked on this case."
Ruben Flores and his step-son, Ivan Valdespino were arrested on dozens of drug trafficking charges. Agents found large amounts of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, meth and mushrooms inside the house. Detectives also seized cash, weapons and cars during the arrest.
"Because of this arrest, the drug flow in this part of the county will dry up or be reduced significantly," says Austin.
Flores and Valdespino are in police custody tonight. Flores' bond has been set 620-thousand dollars. Bond for Valdespino has been set at 875-thousand dollars. Even if Flores makes bond, he might not be released from jail. Agents in Texas have posted a warrant for Flores' arrest on another case.
