Alan was a great person he really loved God and also loved the teens at the (FMC} I knew him for the few months i went to church their. Alan could always make someone smile when they were down. He loved playing with the praise tema at {FMC}. My husband went to {FMC} when Alan was going their and Alan would help my husband with delivering bread and cookies to the visitors that came to {FMC}. I write a poem to everyone that has lost a loved one. I know how hard it is to loss a child, I had to experince that at the age of 17 this happened before i met my husband that i am married to now. The poem that i am going to write was the poem i wrote for my daughter. The poem is called “The Day you Went Away”

    The Day You Went Away

The day you went away,
was the day we all cried.
The day you went away,
was the day we said good-bye.
The day you went away,
is the day God took you away.
The day you went away,
was the day we wanted you to stay.

What a treasure heaven now holds now that Alan has made it his home and what a loss this world has experienced now that he has moved on. I only knew Alan for a couple of years but my what a dedicated soldier of the cross. Alan had such a passion to save the lost that I would dare say most pastors do not share. He would often go to the mall and share Christ with any who would listen. He was so full of God’s joy that it seemed sometimes that it would spill over into you. His life was truly one that convicts me of the opportunities I let pass by. Most could not understand his attitude and his outlook on life. His continual smile and constant humor. The way he just seem to float through life as a child. But what most fail to realize is that he was not careless at all. He was just that sure of the power and love of his God. He was just that sure of the price Jesus had paid for him. I guess you could say taht Alan is a child. A child and a servant of the most high God.

Tammy,
I am very sorry for your loss. Alan was a sweet kid, always with that cute goofy grin and that laugh. He is in heaven watching over you and your family. He will forever live in your heart and memories. And you can tell Mark, his Uncle Alan sure did love him,and is now his Guardian Angel forever by his side.
Tammy if you need anything or just want someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to call me.

I knew Alan.  I used to go to the same church he did.  He played the bass and I played the drums. I also went to the same school, was a year behind him but we stayed in touch.  I haven’t seen him in a few years and now i wish that i would have.  We used to hang out and play music together, and he was so full of life. He was so xstatic about life no matter how down that he was you would never know it.  To Fallon Im sorry for this terrible time.  I cant imagine the pain of losing your brother, and To Mom and Dad, I am praying for all of you to get throught this.  I know that Alan is looking down and smiling b/c he knows what a difference he has made in so many lives.  Ya’ll are all in my Prayers.

This is to all the people that have posted their comments about Alan Booker.  You don’t know how much this has meant to our family in knowing that so many people knew Alan the way we did and loved him as we do.  We also know that Alan is in a much better place and will be looking down and keeping a watchful eye on us from heaven. Again, thanks for all the wonderful comments you have made about him and we love you for it and it has been a comfort to all our family. Love Alan’s Mother and Grandmother

to Alan Booker’s family and friends,

I am so sorry that Alan is gone. I will miss him very much. I cannot even begin to understand the feelings that you are feeling right now.
I cannot even begin.
Especially the feelings you will feel later. Alan has to have been the happiest person I have ever met in my entire life.
I do not even feel like I will ever reach the level of unbridled joy that he displayed most all the time.
Alan had a passion unlike most.
Remember the smile that silly smile. Remember the laugh that was so hard not to join.
Most importantly remember that Alan is in heaven and he wants nothing more than to see you there with him one day.
The only way to see him again is to have a relationship with Jesus.
It is not my right or stance to judge, only to state this…
This world we live in is an imperfect world. we are bound by it’s laws and boundaries. It was NOT God’s will that Alan die. God did NOT set out to take Alan from you. Please do not blame God.
with love
tim

Alan and I attended the same church (Family Ministries Center) for several years. For as long as I can remember, Alan had a passion for God that I greatly admired! He would always lift you up when you were feeling down and make you smile when all you wanted to do was cry! I remember when we were kids, Alan used to come spend the night with my adopted brother. He spent so much time at my house, my mom claimed him as another one of her children! As we grew into adults, we went our seperate ways. He kept attending FMC and I went to another church closer to home. Yet, when I would go visit FMC, Alan was always the first person to greet me and give that big WELCOME BACK hug! Even though he would make the same joke every time and tell me “ I think you should fill out a visters card”. I will never forget the great times we shared at FMC! Alan will always be loved and missed by all who knew him! Alan, I love you buddy! Keep my grandma company till we all meet again someday! Love Always,Lindsey

I think that Alan was a wonderful young man.  He always had a way to make people smile. I hope that everytime someone makes you smile or crack up you think of him.  I know that the time that I was around him that, you never knew what was coming next.  IMHO he was an angel sent to us just to keep our spirits up when we were down.  Everyone has a reason to be on this earth and I believe that this was his calling. He will be greatly missed.  My prayers are with his family and his special Nephew who he loved so dearly. God bless.
