Frank James is in Mobile Metro Jail with no bond. His daughter Lacy Burch is at USA Medical Center on life support. According to a deputy's report, James was drinking all day at their home in Coden. The report goes on to say that he asked to play with a guitar and Burch said no. That's when prosecutors say he took out a 22 caliber rifle and shot her in the face and chest. A family member tells us that Burch's mother tried to stop the fight and was hit with the butt of the rifle. Prosecutors say that James told deputies quote "I hope she learned her lesson." Burch's Aunt, Susan Weller says, "It doesn't make any sense to me either. I always said there was evil there. The only good thing I know is that he is in jail and that's a good thing." Frank James is charged with attempted murder and assault.
