Hundreds of people filled the Bayou La Batre Community Center to pay their last respects to Hannah, Lindsey, and Danny Luong and their older brother Ryan Phan. Representatives from the Mobile County Sheriff's Office, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, as well as pastors from area churches offered words of comfort and encouragement to the family. Some of those in attendance didn't know the family personally, but just wanted to show their support. "It's a very heartbreaking thing. We just can't even imagine anything like that in our own community, this small area, to even happen like that, but my prayers and thoughts are with this family," said Marilyn Putman. "The lord understands more than we understand so there ain't too much comfort. Prayer is more than anything that mends up a broken heart..only prayer," said Floyd Nelson of Grand Bay. Lam Luong is accused of throwing the four children from the bridge. He's in Mobile Metro Jail. His next court appearance is March 5th.
