That's how one critic describes the last book in the Harry Potter series.
It was released in a flurry of events and gatherings held around the world at midnight, local times.
The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune are among those heralding the work of J.K. Rowling.
Some readers are being tougher than the critics, though.
One suggests that people skip the last chapter, or at least read it later on so the rest of the book can be thoroughly enjoyed. For those who can't wait to find out whether Harry lives or dies, a customer review on Amazon-dot-com warns not to skip to the end, saying all the answers unfold throughout the story.
The print run in the U-S for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is 12 (m) million, with Britain's Royal Mail saying it was delivering over 600-thousand copies today.
