Merceria Ludgood Juan Chastang  The results are in Merceria Ludgood wins Mobile County Commission seat for District 1.

Merceria Ludgood is the newly elected Mobile County Commissioner for District 1.
Receiving over 5,430 votes Ludgood ran away with the election getting nearly 80% cast in her favor.
Ludgood beat out former County Commissioner Juan Chastang.
Chastang was removed from the position by a panel of Federal Judges back in April.
He had been appointed to the seat by Governor Riley to fill a vacancy when Mayor Sam Jones was elected.
Chastang received about 20% of the votes with just over 1,360.
