GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A nurse working at the Harrison Countyjail has been arrested on drug charges.
Authorities say Ann Marie Gibbs is accused of hiding marijuana,
cocaine and other contraband inside sandwiches, then distributing
them to inmates.
Gulfport Police Chief Alan Weatherford said in an article at
www.sunherald.com that Gibbs, of Ocean Springs, is an employee of a
private company that handles health care at the jail.
It is unclear if she has an attorney. She was arrested Tuesday
and her bond was reduced from $200,000 to $50,000 Wednesday at her
first court appearance.
