authorities say was responsible for the wreck that killed five
members of former Alabama running back Siran Stacy's family was
drunk.
Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska said a toxicology
report recently released by the Alabama Department of Forensic
Sciences showed that 29-year-old Adam Wayman had a blood alcohol
level of .135 at the time of the crash. The legal limit in Alabama
is .08. The toxicology report showed no other drugs in Wayman's
blood, The Dothan Eagle reported.
Stacy, 39, and his 3-year-old daughter, Shelly, were seriously
injured in the crash. His wife and four of his children were killed
near the intersection of U.S. 84 and Highway 123 on Nov. 19 when
their van was struck by a pickup truck traveling west in the
eastbound lane of U.S. 84.
Wayman also died in the accident.
