Mobile Police blame a blown tire for a fiery crash that killed an Eight Mile man and forced them to shutdown I-10 for several hours this morning
Police say 40-year-old Charles Bazzel was traveling west on I-10. He was near the Navco Road overpass when one of the front tires on his vacuum truck blew out, around 7:40 this morning. Police say Bazzel lost control, hit the median retaining wall and then two light poles before he was ejected.
The truck caught on fire. The wreckage and black smoke backed up traffic for miles. It took crews more than 4 hours to clear the wreck and reopen I-10.

Please take this video down.  This man is my uncle and seeing that was one of the most terrible things I have ever seen.  He has children that I nor anyone else in our family want to see this.  I understand you are just making news but the video and pictures are a little much.

Thank you,
Heather

To WKRG- Please take this video and pictures off your website. This man has children who do not need to see these.

To everyone else- Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks,

Bailey

I agree with everyone about having the video up

Cindy is correct.  The news should be more sensitive to the family’s situation.  Please do as she suggests. Thanks.

Please don’t leave this video/pictures up too long. Mr. Bazzel has a daughter that is in high school and I would hate for her to see this. I understand that wkrg is simply reporting news, but please keep his family’s, especially his daughter’s, feelings in mind. Would you like to see a video of a wreck if your father died in it? Especially one that plays over and over and over?

Thanks,
Cindy
