One city took a stand against domestic violence on Tuesday night.
The City of Prichard held a summit to let people know how they can get help.
Police Sergeant Anita Sellers says Prichard Police handle about 130 domestic violence complaints every month, and it's a probelm in Mobile County.
She says alcohol and drug abuse play a big role.
If someone is abusing you, help is available in our area.
Penelope House in Mobile helps women who have been abused. There is also the Lighthouse in Baldwin County.
Both places provide safe shelter, counseling, and support for you and your children.
The number for Penelope House is 342-8994. The number for the Lighthouse is 947-6008
The phone lines are open 24 hours a day.
