Two masked men robbed the Dollar General at Highway 90 near Hamilton Boulevard in Theodore Wednesday night.
Police say two masked men, armed with handguns, walked into the store just after 8:30. They demanded money from both the cash drawers and the safe. After getting the money, police say the men ran out the back door.
Minutes later, Sgt. Hebert noticed a suspicious car in the parking lot. When he officer approached the car, the robbery suspects sped away.
Police stopped the car on Theodore Dawes Road at Carol Plantation Road. Both men got out and ran. Sgt. Hebert managed to catch one of them.
Inside the getaway car, Sgt. Hebert found one of the victim's purse, two handguns, two ski masks, cash and coins.
21-year-old Kenterrio Scott is charged with robbery and carrying a gun without a permit. He's scheduled to be in court Friday morning for a bond hearing.
Police are still looking for Scott's accomplice who's described as a black male in his 20's, 5'6"-5'9" tall with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing a navy blue or black hoody. He is considered armed and dangerous.
If you have any information on the robbery, call Mobile Police.

Why couldn’t you have said it’s a shame to see our “young men” go down like this instead of our “black men?” Besides they found the “getaway car ... one of the victim’s purse, two handguns, two ski masks, cash and coins.” What the hell do you think he was doing there. I’m not saying we should lock the door and throw away the key. In fact, I know of this young man and his family personally and I believe he made a bad decision. But, I also believe in personal accountibility no matter age, race, or gender or any other cirmustance for that matter. To pinpoint the fact that he was a black man undermines the actual criminal probelms that face our youth as a whole. Your comment also implies that black men who commit crimes deserve sympathy because they were “doomed from the beginning.” If in fact he did commit this crime that he is accused of, it is because he made a DECISION. Not because he was “doomed from the beginning.” If this was the case, all black men would commit crime.

well in response to the comment that was suppose to be a response to mine. No one ever made the comment racial, but he is a black man isn’t he? That is why I referred to him as such. It has everything to do with him “going down”, cause he darn sure is not on the up & up from this mishap. Furthermore,no one knows whether or not he is innocent or guilty, and unless you are on the jury I don’t think it was your call to say he commited the crime in your comment. we are commenting on the situation in general, you are judging the individual person. Education and Comprehension is the key to success...remember that.

He’t not going to trial, he’s just getting a bond hearing. That’s not all that unusual. And this has nothing to do with Black Men “going down.” This young man brought himself down. I know plenty of Black men who don’t act this way. This is about personal responsibiltiy, white or black, this man brought himself down and he’s going to have to account for what he did. He put other people’s lives in jeopardy. Black men aren’t the only ones commiting crimes in this town. Don’t make things a racial issue when they are not.

It’s a shame to see our black men go down like this. I hate to see it, but our people (especially our black men) were doomed from the beginning we just have a work to little bit harder, but God has a plan for us all!

It is amazing how fast someone can be in court for a robbery but when it comes to other, more violent crimes it can take months.
