Police say two masked men, armed with handguns, walked into the store just after 8:30. They demanded money from both the cash drawers and the safe. After getting the money, police say the men ran out the back door.
Minutes later, Sgt. Hebert noticed a suspicious car in the parking lot. When he officer approached the car, the robbery suspects sped away.
Police stopped the car on Theodore Dawes Road at Carol Plantation Road. Both men got out and ran. Sgt. Hebert managed to catch one of them.
Inside the getaway car, Sgt. Hebert found one of the victim's purse, two handguns, two ski masks, cash and coins.
21-year-old Kenterrio Scott is charged with robbery and carrying a gun without a permit. He's scheduled to be in court Friday morning for a bond hearing.Police are still looking for Scott's accomplice who's described as a black male in his 20's, 5'6"-5'9" tall with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing a navy blue or black hoody. He is considered armed and dangerous.
