The Satsuma High School Football player who was paralyzed from the chest down in a car crash November 20th is no longer on a feeding tube.
Doctors at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta removed Joseph Toomey's feeding tube yesterday.
Last night, Toomey's mother pinched him between his toes and he grimaced from the pain -- another positive sign that Toomey does have some feeling in his lower extremities
On Wednesday, Toomey started rehab by working out in the hospital's gym for the first time.
If you'd like to keep up with Toomey's progress on a daily basis, his parents have set up a website. See "Toomey Family Blog" under external links.
