Cooper has asked Pittman to debate four times before the october 16th election.
"Trip and I have an obligation to let the people of Baldwin County hear our views," said Cooper in a news release. "If we can't present our views in front of our neighbors and friends, how can we be expected to stand up and argue for baldwin County in front of the State Senate?"
Tripp's campaign spokesperson tells News 5 they have agreed to one debate. But he said the two sides have not yet agreed on a date/time.
Cooper, a Fairhope attorney and former mayor of Prichard, ran uncontested in the primaries. Pittman defeated Randy McKinney in a September 11th runoff.
The District 32 Senate seat was vacated in May when Senator Bradley Byrne stepped down to become chancellor of the state's two-year college system.
