MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A federal judge has put Alabama's next
scheduled execution on hold. U.S. District Judge Keith Watkins
delayed the scheduled execution of James Harvey Callahan on January
31st until the judge can hold a trial on a lawsuit filed by
Callahan. The inmate's lawsuit claims Alabama's lethal injection
procedures are unconstitutionally cruel.
The judge has not set a trial date for Callahan's lawsuit
because he's awaiting a U.S. Supreme Court ruling on a similar case
from Kentucky.
Callahan was convicted of capital murder for the kidnapping,
rape and strangulation of a 26-year-old woman in Jacksonville in
1982.

If that causes too much pain take him out behind the jail and put a bullet in his head.  Cheap and effective.

Lets Bring Back the Electric Chair or Hanging - Lets see how they feel about that.  I think that lethal injection is far better than any of the old methods.  What are we thinking

Our court Systems are so screwed up! I tell you rape and strangle someone ... why not ... you can live a happy life in prison where taxpayers support you ... there is television , radio, gym and you are fed.  But oh poor little thing… cannot handle lethal injection.  Something has to be done or this country is in for it… I dont want my children growing up in a society where we say that it is ok to murder someone else.

just kill him and then removed that dumb butted judge from the bench.

Oh I guess what he did to his victim was not cruel.

Lets see now, If he is put to sleep and never wakes up, how is that cruel? He was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers.

Why delay it any longer…Why should the tax payers support him any longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
