The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is offering a cash reward for information that helps them catch a couple who used a cat as bait and then watched as two dogs killed it.Deputies say the couple drove to Bruner Middle School in Fort Walton Beach on April 24. Once in the parking lot, a man got out holding a small, grey and white cat and let two medium-sized, brown dogs out of the back of the SUV. He used the cat to taunt the dogs, then sat back and watched what happened.
The cat's body was found in the parking lot the next day.
The Sheriff's Office is hoping someone might recognize the SUV in the surveillance photos. Deputies say it's a dark colored, late model, possibly 2006, GMC Yukon on Chevy Tahoe with chrome wheels and a sun roof.Anybody with information about this animal cruelty case is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 850.609.2000, Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) at 850.243.1525 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850.863.TIPS. I think they should be tossed to the lions like in Roman times, then WE can watch for OUR entertainment.
