WNTM Radio talk show host Uncle Henry said on his program Wednesday that BayFest organizers should be ashamed for using public tax dollars to bring the rap artist to town because he uses profanity in his songs.
But a city spokesperson says organizers have been assured Ludacris will put on a family friendly performance.
Barbara Drummond with the Mobile's Mayor's Office said, "We have children. We don't want X rated lyrics going on. We go through painstaking efforts to make sure that that won't happen.
Ludacris performed at BayFest in 2003.
