Plenty of planning and lots of helping hands go into surprise parties.
This early birthday bash is at Theodore High School for a soon to be seventeen year old.
History Teacher Ryan Grimes says the birthday student is worth all the effort. "We really wanted to let him know how much we appreciate him. Show him how special he is to us."
Stuart Prescott's mom, Kennie, knows all about the struggles of having a Christmas baby! "The only place open was the BP Station and the Skyline Bowling Lanes. So late in the afternoon we'd go. We had a good time."
This classroom celebration is for more than just a boy born on Christmas. His mother explains what makes her son different. "He has epilepsy. He has autism. He has Turret's syndrome and he has an eating disorder where he never knows when he's full. The first three are the ones we worry about."
All of Stuart's lessons are in special education classes except history! Today, the history students created a magical birthday for the teen turning 17 on Christmas day!
