My best friend was thrown through the windshield of a car in which he was the passenger.  He would not have died if he had been wearing a seatbelt.  My choice is to wear a seatbelt whether it is a law or not.

I wear seat belts at all times when in the car and require all in my vehicle to do so, I would not like to see anyone injured or killed for the lack of something so simple to do. That being said I think any adult in their own vehicle should have the choice to buckle up or not,It’s just another freedom I would not like to see go,there is getting too few freedoms left. I definitely am against any one being stopped just for a seat belt violation. If it occurred after another offense such as speeding,I could live with that.

I’m always surprised at the number of people that still do not put on their seat belts.  It becomes an automatic function in no time and most people do not give it a second thought.

Who are these people not wearing seat belts and why?

People have the option whether or not to have an abortion but not the choice to wear a seatbelt or not?? Adults should have the choice.  I don’t feel you should be pulled over just because you are not wearing a seatbelt.  Go find drugs and murderers.

“Check your papers, sir” (Nazi accent). Mobile police are the worst.  Try solving or preventing a crime for once. This town is the pits!
