The season of giving is here, and one Mobile charity is hoping you'll give back this holiday. Mobilians have been shopping with them on the corner of Virginia and Ann Streets for more than 50 years. We're talking about the Mobile Optimist Club Christmas Tree Lot. Every dollar spent there goes to charity to help children in the area. The President of the Mobile Optimist Club says kids with the Boys and Girls Club are also volunteering their time at the lot, while learning work experience and earning tips. We talked with one volunteer about the trees and why they're so important, "they pretty, they full, and we can, we can deal with you, we going to help you, we going to tote it for you, tie it up, wrap it however you want it," said Boys and Girls Club Volunteer, Stevie Boykin. Boykin also says, "it helping our children, helping out our Boys and Girls Club ." The Mobile Optimist Club says their trees will help the Boys and Girls Club on Michigan Avenue as well as other projects for kids. If you want to help out, the tree lot is open on the weekends from 10 AM until 7 PM and during the week, from noon until 8 PM.
