LACEY'S SPRING, Ala. (AP) - A Lacey's Spring family lost
Christmas presents and all their other belongings in a fire that
destroyed their mobile home this morning.
Sandra Rodriquez, who is 32, said the fire started when cooking
oil caught fire on the stove around 11 a.m. She and her husband,
Erasmo, who is 31, and their children -- 14-year-old Cristal and
five-year-old Michelle -- were NOT hurt.
The Red Cross gave the family a debit card to pay for food,
emergency shelter and other items.
Friends and neighbors helped dismantle the burnt mobile home
this afternoon, trying to find anything that could be salvaged.
To help, call the family at, 256-650-3170.
